Restaurar, do latim restaurare, significa reintegrar, reconquistar, recuperar e dar função ao que está deteriorado.

O projecto de restauro deverá conservar a dignidade estrutural do edifício que se assume como testemunho não só de um período temporal como, também, do modo de construir, directamente relacionado com as técnicas utilizadas para a construção deste.

Para proceder ao restauro da Igreja de S. Marco alle Capelle diagnosticaram-se, primeiramente, os problemas e patologias que o edifício apresentava.

Procedeu-se a uma análise critica detalhada e pontual, após visitas técnicas realizadas ao edifício, in loco, de forma a verificar as informações reunidas.

Produziram-se relatórios diagnósticos que incluem levantamentos fotográficos e desenhos que resultaram numa proposta de tratamento do edifício que não alteram a traça original.

The restoration project will preserve the structutal dignity the building that stands out as, not only, witness of a time period as also the way of constructing, directly related to the techniques used to build it.

To proceed with the restoration of the Church of S. Marco alle Capelle, first  were diagnosed the problems and pathologies that the building had.

There was a critic detailed and punctual analysis, after several technical visits conducted to the building spot (in loco), in order to verify the information gathered.

The reports that diagnoses the pathologies include photographic surveys and designs that resulted in a proposal for treatment of the building that do not alter the original design.
