A proposta passa por uma revitalização do espaço, tornando-o mais público e percorrível, com interacções do percurso para com o utilizador. Assim, criase um café aberto apenas nas épocas mais propícias ao turismo, que funcionará e dará suporte ao Centro de Canoagem e Interpretação da Natureza. A área de pinhal é aumentada, e ao mesmo tempo que se cria um percurso pedonal e uma ciclovia pela marginal, também se criam diversos caminhos que possibilitam o passeio pela interior do pinhal.
